Healthly joints = Happy Dogs

If you’re a dog owner, you will probably find yourself claiming your furry friend as not just an animal that lives with you, but an important and loved member of the family!

When we think of those we love, we want the best for them, including their physical health – this statement extends to our beloved furry buddies.

Unfortunately, many dogs experience health issues as they age, with around 80% developing arthritis and joint pain by the time they’re 8 years old. This could mean that those cherished Sunday walks may not be possible in the future 🙁

Many owners will wait for their dog to show visible signs of joint pain, such as stiffness or limping…
However, by that point, the damage has already occurred, leaving you to manage the symptoms rather than prevent them.
Surely there is something we can implement to prevent this occurrence!

Some practical and effective measures may include:

  • Maintaining a Healthy Weight: Keeping your dog at a healthy weight reduces stress on their joints.
  • Regular Exercise: Engage in consistent, low-impact exercise like walking or swimming to strengthen muscles and maintain joint flexibility.
  • Balanced Diet: Provide a nutritious diet that includes joint-supporting supplements, such as omega-3 fatty acids or glucosamine.
  • Supplementation: Support your dog’s health with effective and trustworthy solutions.

As discussed in previous blogs – Canna Oils Beta Caryophyllene (BCP) is a major agonist of the CB2 receptors within the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)

“Although it was once believed that only humans had an ECS, we have recently learned of its existence in nearly all animals, including vertebrates (mammals, birds, reptiles, and fish) and many invertebrates (sea urchins, leeches, mussels, nematodes, and others).”

If an animal has an ECS, then they have the same potential for relief from pain & inflammation (arthritis) as do us humans!

Meet Ollie, our Canna Oils mascot!
Ollie has been a much-treasured member of our family for over 10 years now, we’ve had him since he was about 2!
As he ages, we want to make sure his joints have good mobility, he gets lots of exercise and that he eats a nutritious diet.
On top of these measures, we have been making sure to include Canna Oils as part of his daily schedule, to act as a preventative for arthritis and ensure a greater sense of wellbeing.
Ollie is a happy little man, filled with energy and life, and still beats Ben in a foot race along the beach 😉

Conclusion:
Canna Oils BCP could be a fantastic addition to your dog’s daily routine. It not only helps alleviate discomfort for those who need it but also serves as a preventive measure for younger pups, promoting healthy movement and vitality!

Pups will just require a different dose compared to humans:
2 drops of Ultra or 4 drops of Ultra Blend per 10kg either directly in the mouth or in their wet food!!
